From a small store in 1974 to a leading company in the building materials sector, MORAITIS S.A. continues to evolve, based on quality, innovation, and the needs of its customers.

1974
Early Beginnings
The company's founder, Spyros Moraitis, began his commercial activity by opening the first animal feed and flour store in Foskolou. The business achieved great success, following the boom in livestock farming at that time.
1976
Expansion into the LPG Market
The company entered the LPG and propane cylinder sales sector, quickly capturing 60% of the local market and representing leading companies such as Shell and BP.
1978
New Store in Kamara Ag. Lazarou
The business relocated to a new premises, strengthening its growth momentum.
1982
First Major Investment
The first significant investment was made with the purchase of a 2,500 sq.m. plot of land and the construction of a 400 sq.m. building. Concurrently, the company expanded into the construction materials sector.
1988
Sanitary Ware & Tiles – The Company's New Face
The business shifted its focus to the sector that defines it to this day: sanitary ware, tiles, and plumbing. With Zakynthos' rapid tourism development, construction activity soared, and the Spyros Moraitis commercial center became a landmark for every construction project.
2000
New Showroom & Warehouse Expansion
The new showroom was inaugurated in Gaitani, offering consumers a comprehensive experience in material selection. The warehouses expanded to 10,000 sq.m., enhancing efficiency and product variety.
2006
Partnerships with Leading Brands
The company initiated exclusive collaborations with top industry companies, such as Ideal Standard, Marazzi, and Berloni, ushering in a new era of quality and aesthetics.

Upgrade & Corporate Transformation
The company modernized its information systems and was transformed into a Société Anonyme (S.A.) under the name MORAITIS S.A..

To mark 40 years since the company's founding, the Moraitis family organized a grand party at the Gaitani store to honor all those who supported them throughout these years. The response from customers, partners, suppliers, the general public, and of course, Project Woman, was moving and contributed to an unforgettable evening.
